Im Rahmen der diesjährigen Game Developers Choice Awards wurden die besten Spiele des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Auch einige Titel für Nintendo Switch und Nintendo Switch 2 waren unter den Nominierten.
So war etwa Donkey Kong Bananza in mehreren Kategorien vertreten, ging am Ende jedoch leer aus. Besonders erfolgreich zeigte sich dagegen Blue Prince, das mehrere Nominierungen erhielt und letztlich auch den Titel Game of the Year gewann.
