Heute veröffentlichte das Marktforschungsunternehmen Media Create wie gewohnt die Videospielcharts für Japan in der Woche vom 6. bis zum 12. Januar 2014. In diesen Zeitraum fiel nur eine nennenswerte Neuveröffentlichung – Kirby Triple Deluxe für den 3DS. Dieses katapultierte sich mit über 200.000 Verkäufen direkt auf den ersten Platz der Softwarecharts. Es handelt sich um die dritterfolgreichste Markteinführung eines Kirby-Spiels in Japan.

Bei den Hardwarecharts hat jede Plattform im Vergleich zur Vorwoche einen sehr starken Absturz erlebt. So verkaufte sich beispielsweise der 3DS über 110.000 Mal weniger als noch in der vorherigen Woche, kann mit 60.000 Verkäufen aber dennoch den ersten Platz halten. Die Wii U sackte auf 14.000 Wochenverkäufe ab. Die Wii hingegen wurde inzwischen von Media Create offenbar aussortiert – letzte Woche noch ca. 1.800 Mal verkauft, scheint sie nun aufgrund ihrer Produktionseinstellung nicht mehr in den Charts berücksichtigt zu werden.
