Der finnische Entwickler Remedy (u.a. Max Payne, Alan Wake) äußerte sich kürzlich auf die Frage was man denn vom Nintendo 3DS und von Sonys Handheld NGP halte. Demnach prüfe man die Möglichkeiten, die es für diese beiden Geräte gäbe. Weiterhin bekräftigte Aki Järvilehto, dass 3DS und NGP sehr interessante Plattformen seien, sich aber in der Entwicklung vom iOS (Apple-Betriebssystem für u.a. iPhone) unterscheiden.
“Right now we’re evaluating different alternatives [...] DS and NGP are interesting platforms, but they’re very, very different from iOS. I don’t think that the right approach would be to take an iOS game and just port it over to them. Rather you’d want to create games for these platforms which is designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities of the platform." (Aki Järvilehto)
