Perfect Dark DS

NES Mini, SNES Mini, C128, Pong ^^"

Rare Loses More Employees
Recent sources have told IGN that another wave of Rare employees have left the building. It's natural from time to time to see employees leave any company. But we heard that recently a handful of employees have left due to politics or unhappiness with the directions of various games, and they have quickly been employed by many of the local English publishers such as Codemasters, Eidos, and a few others. Why? Is there a massive problem at Rare? Probably not, but it's never a good thing when development members -- especially valued ones -- leave in numbers.
If this is true, then the total of lost employees in the last years is quite significant:
1. Goldeneye team -now at Free Radical Design
2. Martin Hollis - Perfect Dark lead designer now head of Zoonami
3. As much as 10% (25 employees aprox) of the company during the transition from GC to Xbox according to a previous report from IGNCube's Matt C.
4. Today's new report.Unless you worked there which I did then you don't know what stuff goes on at that place. Under paid staff, overworked, and best of all you get treated like shit unless you are in the little boys club.
For two years the company was inviting people people around like Activision and MS to view the companies games. IN that time development became a nightmare, it was a constant do this bit for Tim.
When in fact all the staff were doing were jazzing up key sections of the game so when the people with $$$ came around the company would be appear to be worth the crazy money that they got paid, plus they were still riding on their succes with Nintendo (which I enjoyed) and you know what,it worked.
However, in that 2 year period, their attitude of "I pay your salary do as I tell you or else" actually infected most of their staff, as they essentially pissed away two years of peoples career doing bits and bobs to raise the stock value. And when the deal was done the reality is that they have no real games there, and their technology is fucking hilarious (crap). They had little bits of games ,not one solid plan, and if you tried to talk to them about things, you just got your cards markerd with their stupid elite ass
"I did donkey kong I'm king go away"
Yeah guys you also did fucking Battletoads too.
Now all Rare has become is a pit for students who are the only people that might believe the bullshit they are fed and have fond memories of playing Golden Eye when they were at college.
The rest of the staff are either following the carrot that is being dangled in front of them, or have simply given up, through no fault of their own, but through the dummies who are supposed to be leading the company.
Seriously, MS should give that place a serious rethink, as for the HR lady (VAL), haha, the old intimidating dweebs are still in charge throughout the company, so nothing has really changed.
I had some good years at Rare and me and many others tried to tell them this was happening but they are really are so far up themselves it is pointless, and the people there know it. What's worse is so do the people running the place, but they've made the place their lives, so if they fix the problem then they present themselves with a "What the fuck do I do with my time now"
Nothing will change, PD was their only chance, and I hear a alot of people on the team are going "Oh fuck" after seeing Doom III and HL2.
Not they're fault the talents there, but it is blinded by the dummies at the top who still think people want stuff to look like N64.
By the way when the people at the top read this they automatically think its someone who is pissed off about money.
Nope, I'm pissed off becasue you sold a lot of people out for your own personal gain, and sadly still are. "Guys".
Oh yeah I went through about a million different proxies to post this.
