"Hello all players of Xenoblade Chronicles 2! I am Takahasi, of Monolith Soft. I have an announcement today about the new Update (Ver. 1.4.0), which is scheduled to release worldwide on 4/27 (Fri.) JST. In Ver. 1.4.0, a few new blades are finally being added. First, Poppi Buster (note: localized name may be different)"
"Poppi Buster is a rare blade that will be available only to those who have purchased the DLC. The design is by Masatsugu Saitou. Poppi is an Artificial Blade specifically for Tora, however Poppi Buster is an Artificial Blade that can be used by drivers other than Tora.
"You can obtain Poppi Buster not through Core Bonding, but through a quest. I'm sure you're wondering things like 'Who is that yellow Poppi in its hand? What is that antenna-looking thing on its head?', but please look forward to figuring that out in Poppi Buster's quest!
"Continuing from that, we have T-elos Re:, which has graciously come to fruition thanks to Bandai Namco Entertainment. Lightly touched upon previously in this production note, T-elos Re: will be a present character 'to those who have completed the game once.'"
"T-elos Re: of the Xenosaga series, was introduced as a rival character to KOS-MOS. Her blade design was done by CHOCO. When Kunihiko designed KOS-MOS Re:, he 'put in extra effort to show respect to CHOCO'. Knowing this, CHOCO responded 'But it's I who should respect Mr. Tanaka~', culminating in the design of this T-elos Re:.
"This version of T-elos Re: is slightly cuter than her original appearance in Xenosaga, but according to CHOCO, the main point of interest should be in her visor. The modeler in charge of T-elos Re: took the words of CHOCO to heart, and put his every effort into modeling her."
"T-elos Re: will be available to everyone that clears the game (it leaves out needing DLC, so it does mean everyone). On a save data that has finished the game, there is a Star marked next to your Gold, and once this condition is met, you can resonate with T-elos Re:. This does mean you have get her through the core crystal gachapon, but her appearance rate is rather high, so anybody should be able to resonate with her rather quickly."
"In addition, below are other notable changes coming to Ver. 1.4.0.
◆In NG+, you will be able to exchange bonus EXP for Poppi Parts.
◆A new addition will be added for sorting menus.
That is all concerning the Ver. 1.4.0 update."
"From May, those who have purchased the 'Expansion Pass' can look forward to new quests, even more new rare blades, Challenge Battle mode, and a new 'Extreme' difficulty. One of the new rare blades is being designed by a completely new illustrator and new VA, so it is completely original to the 'Expansion Pass'! (Actually, I just did some recording with the VA today). Please look forward to what's to come!"
