In den letzten Jahren haben die Video Game Awards ein wenig von ihrem Glanz verloren und im letzten Jahr erreichte die Show ihren bisherigen Tiefpunkt. In 2014 wird aus diesem Grund der TV-Sender Spike keine große Videospiel-Show veranstalten. Doch jetzt kommt am 5. Dezember direkt aus der Industrie das Event mit Namen The Game Awards.
